Join the NYPD St. Paul's Society Annual Picnic: A Day of Fun and Fellowship

/  SPI Supports  /  0

As fellow professionals in the law enforcement and investigative community, we encourage our members and colleagues to join this fantastic event for a day of relaxation, networking, and outdoor activities.

Established in 1958, the NYPD St. Paul's Society brings together Hellenic American and Eastern Orthodox law enforcement officers, fostering camaraderie and cultural ties within the NYPD and beyond. SPI has a long history of supporting their initiatives, from annual awards dinners to community gatherings, and we're thrilled to highlight this family-friendly picnic.

Event Details

  • Date: Saturday, August 2, 2025
  • Time: Starting at 9:30 AM (open-ended – stay as long as you'd like!)
  • Location: South Harbor Park/Beach
    • This scenic spot on Long Island offers the perfect backdrop for a summer day out. Bring your swimsuits, sports gear, and appetite!

Directions: Take the Long Island Expressway (LIE) to Exit 73 (Old Country Road/Route 58). Stay on Route 58, which transitions into Route 25. You'll pass through the charming villages of Aquebogue, Jamesport, Laurel, Mattituck, and Cutchogue. Turn right onto South Harbor Road and follow it to the end – the park will be on your left. It's approximately 15 miles from the LIE exit.

This is a bring-your-own (BYO) event, so pack your favorite food and drinks to enjoy with friends and family. Whether you're grilling up some classics or keeping it simple, the focus is on good company and great vibes.

Activities to Look Forward To

Get ready for a variety of fun options to suit all interests:

  • Sun Tanning: Soak up the rays on the beach.
  • Soccer and Volleyball: Join in pickup games for some friendly competition.
  • Swimming: Cool off in the water.
  • Fishing: Cast a line and enjoy the serene surroundings.
  • Relaxing with Friends: Sometimes the best activity is just unwinding and chatting with like-minded professionals.

This picnic is an excellent opportunity for SPI members to connect with peers from the NYPD St. Paul's Society, share stories from the field, and build lasting relationships in our shared community of investigators and law enforcement officers.

If you're interested in attending, no RSVP is required – just show up and have a great time! For more information about the NYPD St. Paul's Society, visit their social media pages on Instagram or X (formerly Twitter).
