On September 27, 2023, the Society of Professional Investigators attended a Mets VS Marlins event hosted by Blue Lives Matter, to pay tribute to PAPD Police Officer Varvaro, and former major league player, who was tragically taken in the Line of Duty. In memory of the fallen officer, the family threw out the ceremonial first pitch, and were recognized by all attendees at MetLife Stadium.
